Silk Road is set towards the end of the 13th century, in the time of Marco Polo’s famous exploration of the Far East, and follows the journey of young, headstrong Xiu. Venice is the only home Xiu has ever known, but when circumstances force her to journey back to China to find her family, Xiu sets out along the fabled Silk Road on an exciting adventure filled with new pals and countless perils. But unknown to Xiu, she holds the key that can change the course of human history by tipping the balance of power in the ancient world.
